- The quality of corrugated paperboard should be considered first. Technicians engaged in printing need to know that before printing, paperboard should be tested for its water absorption/hydrophobicity, that is, its permeability, which directly affects the ink absorption of the printed paper. The thickness and smoothness of the paperboard printing surface are also important considerations. Poor quality paperboard or packaging paperboard with substandard performance will cause quality problems such as printing white leakage and dent.
- Before printing on the machine, the ink needs to be checked. The quality of the ink is directly reflected in the digital 3C packaging and printing products. The ink has good stability, moderate penetration, and the fluidity box viscosity reaches the standard, so it is easy to be adsorbed to the cardboard surface and the printing is in place. On the contrary, it is easy to lack ink, and the effect of light color is not good.
- After the consumables are checked, the equipment is followed. The plates, rubber rollers, etc. need more attention. We need to print the characters and patterns on the cardboard, which needs to be made into a gel printing plate. Therefore, we should pay attention to whether the plates are aging and worn. If the elasticity is low, there will be poor printing and coloring of digital 3C packaging. The aging of cots, loss of elasticity, and abrasion of anilox rolls will cause the ink to not flow well to the plate, and the printed products will have blurred handwriting and white edges on the cardboard.
- The experienced master can always print the finished digital 3C packaging products with high qualification rate, and the proficiency of the operator is also a major factor affecting the printing quality. Generally, in order to make better comparison, proofing will be carried out in the early stage of batch printing, so that better adjustment can be made to avoid high scrap rate. Of course, it takes a long time for a novice to be qualified.
